Bonfires, Movie Posters and Palm Trees...

Welcome to the brand new Junction blog. This is a place for us to tell you a little bit more about what's going on at Junction - a behind the scenes look if you like! It's where we'll expand on our tweets, and write a little bit more about our shows, films and projects.

So here's our first blog, in the lead up to Saturday's big opening event...

Everything is pretty crazy right now at Junction. A billion things happening at once. Tomorrow is bonfire night too so everybody is busy with that.

Posters for the film programme arrived today - they look really great in the poster cases. And in our giant display case, we've put together our pledge wall, which we'll be putting up in the foyer in the next day or two.

And something rather fabuolous arrived in the cafe bar today too - a palm tree. Yes, slap bang in the middle of all the tables is a great big tree, under which you can enjoy a pint, a cup of tea or tasty sandwich.

Lots of cleaning has been going on too, making sure the place is ship-shape for Saturday's opening. And before you ask - yes, the hoardings will be taken down for the launch day, revealing our fabulous little building to the local community.

There's lots and lots to do on Saturday, with free events throughout the day and a ticketed bash in the evening. Take a look at the Programme area of the site for details.
