Junction is a brand new arts facility in the centre of Goole, made possible by funding and support from Yorkshire Forward, Goole Town Council, Arts Council England and East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Junction will continue to build upon the long established reputation of The Gate, with new and exciting live performance, film and participatory projects across a range of genres and art forms.

The creation of such an outstanding cultural provision is a landmark achievement for Goole and the surrounding area. To mark this milestone we have put together an opening season of events to excite, delight and inspire audiences from across the region. If you enjoyed events at The Gate, we hope that you will join us in the new venue, where we have an even wider choice of work to see. And to those of you who are new to this sort of thing, we invite you to ave a look around through the programme listings, pick something you like the look of and give it a try – great art is for everyone!

Access...
There is a ramp from street level to the walkway at the front of the building, and a fully level ground floor. We have a lift up to the balcony and community room, with accessible toilets on both levels. The auditorium features space for wheelchair users, both on the front row and on the balcony. An induction loop is fitted in the auditorium and other rooms. Junction’s friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you, so please make your requirements know at the time of booking.

Junction's story...
Junction has been made possible by funding and support from Yorkshire Forward, Goole Town Council, Arts Council England and East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Begun in 2008, the building was officially opened on 7th November 2009. The live events programme replaces that of the long running Gate theatre, and the opening of Junction has seen the first cinema screenings to take place in Goole for 30 years.
