Opening Day...

Junction, Goole’s brand new purpose-built arts centre officially opened its doors on Saturday, 7th November 2009. With literally thousands of people turning up to see performances, watch short films, have a drink in the café bar or just have a nosey at what Junction is all about, the day was an overwhelming success. Reporters came from all over the region, and there was even a BBC film crew on site. The packed out building had people intrigued and excited and there was a real community atmosphere to the place. The evening show, which featured local community groups alongside more established performers, was sold out well in advance of Saturday and many people unfortunately had to be turned away!

The day was a hugely successful launch for Junction, and kick-started a great first season!
