Howard Read

Howard’s been a stand-up for over half his life (let’s not go into how long that is). He still performs in stand-up clubs up and down the land, and occasionally abroad. He started out performing stand-up for adults, then, when he started animating, he incorporated his cartoons into his hour-long live shows, creating Little Howard.

Howard’s first hour long show featuring both himself and his animated six-year-old alter-ego Little Howard was a total sell-out, garnering rave reviews and his second was the only nominee from the UK for the 2003 Edinburgh Comedy Award (then called The Perrier Award). He took the show to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, did a one week residency in New York and performed at The Aspen Comedy Festival, appearing on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Back at home he got a development deal with Tiger Aspect and got booked to perform on The Royal Variety Performance alongside Bon Jovi and Joan Rivers!

Stephanie Laing

Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

Now a regular on the circuit Stephanie has also become a stalwart of comedy festivals across the country having appeared at Brighton Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, York Comedy Festival, Bath Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival as well as appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2010.

Tony Vino

Tony is the only half Spanish half Scottish hybrid working comic in the world. Born in Malaga he was subsequently raised in the Costa Del Preston, Lancashire. When he was only a toddler his Father looked around saw the sea, the sand and the sunshine of the Andalucian coast and thought “we need to be nearer Wigan Pier”. He has been a pro comedian for over 7 years touring both nationally and internationally. A finalist in 2006 Funny Bones competition, Tony has enjoyed recognition as a comedian and comedy compere of renown.

His life and interests are wide ranging, and so is his material, all performed in a warm, friendly and non-offensive style. He was even the official warm up comedian for BBC Songs of Praise (tough crowd). You can also hear him regularly as a regular weekend comedy pundit on BBC Radio Manchester. When hosting festivals and corporate events his confident effervescent persona has been found ideal for engaging crowds in their 100’s and 1000’s.
