Dame Jemima Quackenden-Downs
Daphne
Dame Jemima will be familiar to many as her illustrious career has seen her top the bill in roles across stage and screen. From an acting dynasty (her father Daffy and mother Daisy already Hollywood icons), Jemima started her career as a young duckling first performing in a retelling of Animal Farm with the RDC (Royal Drakespeare Company) before her breakout role in the Royal Ballet’s Swan Lake showed her true versatility. Her TV credits include Duck 3 in ITV’s Coronation Street, where she could be found eating bread from Roy’s Rolls down at the Red Rec. Of course, it was her Oscar win for Best Supporting Quacktor in the eggcellent Mallard Of The Rings that truly catapulted Jemima to international stardom. Dame Jemima is delighted to spread her wings once again on the stage as Daphne, a role for which she’s delayed a flight south until later in winter.
