The Bees

An installation of multiple beehives, each hiding a unique, unexpected tiny world!

Wander amongst the honey-perfumed and atmospherically lit Bee Colony – tended by ethereal bee keepers – occasionally cloaked in smoke, and finding a variety ways to view and interact with their mysterious contents…

In each there is a surprising twist, which challenges, charms and confounds expectations! You may find yourself looking into the vastness of space, or teased by a telescopic hive soaring into the air. Perhaps the bees are racing cars – or going to the disco.. who knows?

The Bees is designed to be multi- sensory, engaging spectators through taste, smell and touch as well as sight and hearing. The hives look draw you closer to peek inside and discover the tiny, unexpected tiny worlds hidden within.

There will be two one and a half hour slots in which you can come and visit the bees – or as little or as long as you please!
