Goole On Film (U)

Goole Civic Society invite you to a showcase of historic films of Goole as its launch event for Goole’s bicentenary celebrations.

Sourced from several collections, including the Yorkshire Film Archive and Pathe News collection, the event will showcase a series of films featuring Goole from the 1920s through to the 1980s.

The event will also include the premier of two specially commissioned projects for Goole’s bicentenary year:

•  A recording of Advance! Goole – Goole’s Centenary Song, sung by The Warblers.
•  An Aerial History of the Knottingley & Goole Canal

Please note that the films are shown as a historic record and their quality reflects the time of their creation.
