The Exorcist (1973)
The Power of Christ compels you!
Our first choice is the supernatural horror classic that’s since had many parodies and pale imitations… but nothing comes close to the original.
When a mysterious entity possesses a young girl, her mother seeks the help of two Catholic priests to save her life.
Winner of 1973 Oscars for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Sound Mixing, The Exorcist remains one of the most shocking and gripping movies in the history of cinema and is a regular feature on lists of the scariest movies ever made.

Shaun Of The Dead (2004)
You’ve got red on you.
The uneventful, aimless lives of a London electronics salesman (Simon Pegg) and his layabout roommate (Nick Frost) are disrupted by the zombie apocalypse.
Edgar Wright‘s (Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver) homage to Dawn of the Dead, is an endlessly rewatchable zombie flick. Filled with loving references to horror classics, an incredible cast of household names, fast pacing, and more quotable gags-per-scene than you can count, makes Shaun Of The Dead the ultimate Halloween pick if you prefer a laugh over a fright.
Watch TrailerInsidious (2010)
It’s not the house that’s haunted. It’s your son.
A family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in a realm called The Further.
Insidious re-charged the horror genre when it released in 2010. People were bored with years of gross-out blood fests and gore shocks – then James Wan brought deep mythology, an unsettling score, and masterfully timed jump scares back to the screen, and establishing a massive franchise. If more modern horror is your bag, vote for this one to return to where the Insidious franchise all began.

The Shining (1980)
Heeeeeere’s Johnny!
All work and no play makes Oscar-winning actor Jack Nicholson—the caretaker of an isolated resort—go way off the deep end, terrorizing his young son and wife (Shelley Duvall).
Our last pick is master filmmaker Stanley Kubrick‘s visually haunting chiller, based on the bestseller by master-of-suspense Stephen King — an undeniable psychological horror classic.
