In partnership with Into Film, a national body supported by the British Film Institute and MovIES, a UK wide group supporting film and education, we are offering a fantastic opportunity for primary school and secondary school teachers to attend FREE CPD sessions at Junction, aimed at enhancing the curriculum through moving image.

Making an Outstanding Film for your School Website
Tuesday 6 December, Tuesday 10 January and Tuesday 7 February, 1.30pm – 4.00pm
3 training sessions aimed at making videos and short films for school websites. These sessions will explore pre-production, production and post production. Led by Laura Degnan who has worked in story development roles at Kudos Film and TV Limited, RS Productions and the BBC. Laura is a writer /director working in film and theatre.
Provisional Session Plans:
Session 1: Pre-production, this session will aim to look at areas of interest from the participants that
could include storytelling, theme and sub-text, visual storytelling, interviewing, directing and
storyboarding and filming schedule.
Session 2: Production, in this session participants will get hands on and make a film. It will look at all
the necessary elements for good film making, troubleshooting and problem solving as we go.
Session 3: Post-production. Each participant will edit a version of the film on an iPad (or other
software available to the group if this is preferable). An amount of time will be left to look at the ‘films
in progress’ and to discuss any issues, concerns and learning points as a group.
