Traditional West African music, songs and dance.
Drumroots and Tanate are founded on the drumming and dance traditions of Guinea in West Africa. Focussing on the Djembe, they also play other drums and ethnic instruments. Drum Roots celebrate culture and music in joyous rhythms and electrifying performances.
Based in Manchester, but operating nationwide and abroad, Drumroots is a drumming collective that works closely with local communities. They use the positive power of drumming to deliver benefits to individuals and groups of widely diverse ages and backgrounds.
In this event there will be a short performance followed by an opportunity to have a go yourself and release your in rhythm.
