Art Class: Bisque Painting

Paint and keep your own fully functional ceramics.

In this session, you’ll have the choice to paint either a bowl, a teacup and saucer, a hand thrown planter or vase with the help of expert Rachel Byass.

There is a choice of 20 colours and you can work with a range of laser cut sponges which vary from hearts, stars, flowers, leaves and animals, or challenge yourself by painting a freehand design.

Your item will be glazed and fired for you after the workshop, making it true functional pottery which will be ready for you to pick up and take home the following week.

Rachel Byass Ceramics was opened as a Pottery/Ceramics in 1983 in Pontefract, West Yorkshire by owner Rachel Byass. Over the years she has completed various training courses to perfect her skills in both Pottery and Ceramic design work and trained in Ceramics/Pottery and Decorative Art, both in the UK as well as in the US and Canada. Rachel takes pride in sharing her knowledge and experience with her students to enable them to build up their skills.
