Paint iconic fish with Chinese brushes on rice paper.
Koi fish, also known as Nishikigoi, are a species of ornamental carp which originated in China over a thousand years ago. They are revered for their beauty and symbolise good fortune, wealth and prosperity. In the 10th century Chinese fish painting became increasingly widespread, and continues to be popular to this day.
In this two hour class you will work with traditional brushes, inks and watercolour to create your own masterpiece on rice paper.
