Art Class: Roman Glass Mosaic

Design and create your own mini-mosaic.

In this workshop you will draw and design a mosaic inspired by the sea and its creatures. The Romans used mosaics to decorate their villa floors, walls, and even their baths, often featuring fish, shells and mythical creatures. They date from the 2nd century BCE onwards, and can still be seen in places such as Pompeii.

In this two hour workshop, you will use small glass pieces to create a beautiful tile.
