This May our regular Comedy Club is a real favourite.
Known for its hilarious headliners introduced by brilliant Barnstorming MC Kevin Precious, and with the bar always open so you can refresh that laughing gear – it’s a guaranteed great night!
Steve Day – A familiar voice on Radio 4, Steve has appeared many times on You and Yours, was a token man on Woman’s Hour, has appeared in two radio dramas, All Fingers and Thumbs with Bill Nighy, whom he punched dramatically, and Sound Barriers with Patricia Routledge and Caroline Quentin, both of whom he was prevented from punching, and has been the supporting act for comedian Gary Delaney. He describes himself as Britain’s only deaf comedian if there are any others, he hasn’t heard.
Tony Vino – Tony has been touring the comedy scene since early 2005 performing across the UK and internationally. He is best known for the way he seamlessly mixes well-thought-out observational humour with audience interaction and quick-witted responses. His life and interests are wide-ranging, and so is his material, all performed in a warm, friendly and non-offensive style. He’s been the tour support for TV acts such as Jimmy Cricket and Tim Vine.
Pete Selwood – Described as “a man with swagger” by Notts Comedy Review, Pete has performed for clubs such as Glee, Last Laugh, and Alexanders & Laughterhouse. He is now headlining for the likes of Avalon & Off The Kerb. Alongside that, Pete is regularly providing tour support for Jack Carroll and has also starred in a BBC3 Sketch alongside Jack entitled ‘Disable In Da Club’. To top that off, he has appeared in two seasons of The Emily Atack Show on ITV2, The Likely Dads on BBC Radio 4 and in Shane Meadows ‘Gallows Pole’.
