Goole Town Council presents

Bonfire & Fireworks 2025

Goole’s Bonfire Night returns with a bang!

After a magnificent musical display last year, once again the award-winning Optimum Fireworks will light up the town’s skies.

This year’s theme promises tracks from the biggest musical moments of 2025, alongside a sneak peek at some of the songs for this year’s Christmas show – Sleeping Beauty – at Junction Goole.

Yorkshire-based Optimum Fireworks have just been announced as the 2025 British Champion of Champions at the National Musical Fireworks Championships – so you can expect an absolutely dazzling display. This follows multiple previous wins as Firework Champions in 2014 – 2016, and 2018 – 2020 & 2022.

As previous years, the night will also feature a funfair and food and drink stalls open from 4pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm, with the main firework display around 6.30pm.

Gates open from 4pm for people to enjoy the fair.

“This year is really set to be a bumper display – not only have we managed to secure the British Champion of Champions display team through Optimum Fireworks, but we’ve also extended the length of the display with more music than ever before. Goole Town Council can once again promise the event will return with a bang!”

Mayor of Goole, Cllr James Cooper
F.A.Q.S

What time does it start?

The gates will open at 4pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6pm, and the fireworks display will begin at around 6.30pm.

How much is it, and can I pay at the gate?

Tickets purchased by 2 Nov are £6 and can be bought online, over the phone, or directly at Junction‘s box office. You can pay on the day at Junction or on the gate for £7 (gate sales are card only).

How is it ticketed?

You will need a physical ticket to enter. These must be collected in advance by 4 Nov from Junction’s box office.

Tickets can no longer be sent in the post – please collect your tickets from Junction by 4 November. On 5th November, you can collect your tickets on the gate at West Park from 4pm. We recommend you arrive no later than 6pm if collecting tickets at the park.

Where is the gate/entrance?

Entry is via the main gates on Airmyn Road only. Access via Shaftesbury Avenue car park is for blue badge holders with pre-booked disabled parking only.

Is there parking?

Parking at West Park is available for blue badge holders only. As disabled parking is limited – you must register beforehand – see the link on our website to do this. You must also bring your blue badge on the evening to access the disabled car park.

General parking is available via Goole Academy Tennis Courts entrance opposite Park Avenue – a limited number of tickets have been released at £3 per car – you must register beforehand for parking – see the link on our website to do this.

All other parking around West Park has been suspended. Cars parked in restricted areas, no parking areas, or on grass verges may be clamped and/or towed. Traffic Management will be in place to enforce road closures.

We strongly advise walking to the park if you have not booked a car parking space. West Park is only a short walk (around 10-15 minutes) from the multiple available car parks in Goole Town Centre.

How accessible is the park?

All event areas of the park are accessible via wheelchair. There is an accessible toilet on site. Tickets for essential companions are free.

Do I have to buy tickets for babies and toddlers?

Children under 3 are free – however, you still need to book them a ticket. Select the “Under 3” option when booking.

What am I allowed to bring?

Please do not bring any alcohol, glass, sparklers, flares or any other prohibited items. You will be asked to discard these items/refused entry if you do so. Bag checks will be in operation, to help with queue times we ask that you do not bring bags.

Are dogs allowed?

Due to the loud nature of the event, dogs are not allowed.

On what part of the field do the fireworks/bonfire take place?

The bonfire and fireworks display is always on the playing fields at the top end of the park. However, the positioning of the display can only be decided on the day of the event as wind conditions are taken into account to ensure the event runs safely. Our stewards can advise on the night.
