David Copperfield (Rating TBC)

Castaway return to Junction with their first feature film based on a stage adaptation of David Copperfield by Deborah McAndrew.

Filmed on location in Goole, Howden and Hull’s Old Town during the Summer of 2022, Castaway members act, sing and dance their way through the 1840s, bringing to life some of Dickens’ most memorable characters including Mr Micawber, Betsey Trotwood, Peggotty and Mr Dick.

The cast are all members of Castaway, a charity providing performance and artistic opportunities for adults and young people with learning and physical disabilities, autism conditions and mental health difficulties.
