Junction Goole

Dream it, Create it, Stage it.

Learn what it takes to put on a show at Junction Goole – by putting on your own!

In this weeklong programme you’ll have a chance to try all aspects of theatre making! Work with a writer, director, songwriter, musician, choreographer, and technician, to create a unique and imaginative piece of work that will culminate in a live performance. You will also work with the marketing team, to create the poster that will be used to advertise the show – going out during the week to draw in a real-life audience!

The programme also includes a nutritious hot meal & dessert each day, as well as daily warmups and tuition on how to support the body with healthy food, whilst building energy and stamina for stage work.

Dream it,

What Do I need to know?

This event is a week long activity programme, running everyday from 12 – 16 Aug.

Once you have been approved as HAF eligible via Plinth the Tuesday – Friday session tickets will be sent to you. If paying for places, this can be done through Junction – contact info can be found below.

Children will need to wear sensible clothing. This includes;

  • Comfy shoes or trainers – no open toes!
  • A removable layer – theatre activities will be physical and fun, so ensure they have a top layer (a hoodie, jumper) that they can take off if they get too hot/put back on when cooling down
  • No/little jewellery – Like in P.E at school, performance, games & warm ups in the theatre are physical.

And the most important thing…

Bring Enthusiasm!

Create it,

How much is it and how do I book?

We have 15 FREE HAF funded places available, for those who are eligible for benefit related free school meals in the East Riding.

There are 10 other places available, at £100 (E.g £20 per day) – which is still cheaper than childcare during those tricky school holidays when parents are at work, as well as being a fantastic opportunity for a weeks worth of fun and learning!

For HAF Funded places: As this project is being delivered in co-operation with Holiday Food and Activities, please use the link below to be directed to Plinth, HAF’s central booking portal (Where you can view other HAF programmes too!)

Dream it, Create it, Stage it | Weeklong Summer Drama Fun (12-16 Aug) | FREE Funded Drama Week | Junction Goole – Junction Goole (plinth.org.uk)

For paid places: Please email [email protected], or call 01405 76 36 52, who can put you through to one of our team working on the HAF project!

Please note: A booking of 3 days minimum is required for this event, with £100 being ticket price whether booking 3, 4, or all 5 days – though we would strongly recommend the full week, as otherwise children won’t be able to get the most out of the full project!

Stage it.
