Edinburgh Preview Double Bill: Ian Smith & Kevin Precious

OUR REGULAR BARNSTORMERS COMEDY RESIDENT MC KEVIN PRECIOUS IS BACK FOR HIS EDINBURGH PREVIEW DOUBLE BILL WITH OUR VERY OWN HOME-GROWN SUCCESS STORY, IAN SMITH.

This will be a chance to catch the pair’s hilarious new shows before they perform them at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival later this Summer.

Ian Smith: Crushing

Amused Moose Comedy Award and ThreeWeeks Editors’ Award-winning Goole comedian Ian Smith (BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and co-host of the Northern News podcast) presents a preview of his new show about stress, love and driving a tank with your hairdresser. 

British Comedy Guide Recommended 2018 and 2019, Ian started as a lead in the BBC2 sitcom Popatron and the award-winning short film, Bonsai. He has gone on to star alongside Katherine Parkinson in Sky Comedy’s, Officially Special, and has a leading role in the major BBC1 drama, The Ark, starring David Threlfall.

Kevin Precious: The Reluctant Teacher

Kevin used to be a teacher. He enjoyed the teaching part; it was the stuff that goes with it that was a drag. So he left.

A funny overview of the pitfalls and pratfalls that go with his former profession; with a bit of pedagogical stuff (oo-er) thrown in for good measure.

Kevin Precious has been a full-time stand-up comedian since the mid-noughties. He has performed at top clubs in the country including full weekends for the Glee, the Stand, the Frog and Bucket, ROFL Comedy and the Comedy Lounge; as well as appearing at renowned London gigs such as the Banana Cabaret, the Covent Garden Comedy Club and Downstairs at the King’s Head.
