These internationally acclaimed artists have performed all over the world, and now they are visiting Goole for one day only. Don’t miss your chance to see these extraordinary performances live, right here in Goole’s West Park.

Performances are at 12noon – 2.30pm and repeated again at 3pm – 5.30pm. Freedom Festival On Tour is designed to be enjoyed in the time you have available. To see every performance, we recommend joining us for the whole 2 and a half hour slot.

Freedom Festival On Tour in Goole has been made possible with the funding support of Arts Council England, the UK Government and Goole Town Council.

These performances are brought to Goole as part of Freedom Festival On Tour – an exciting regional extension of Hull’s iconic Freedom Festival. For 18 years, the festival has been one of the UK’s most-loved arts events, and now Goole gets its chance to experience these world-class outdoor shows for the first time. https://www.freedomfestival.co.uk/

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book a ticket?

Whilst the event is free and in a public park, we ask you to book so we can:

  1. Notify you of any changes, including weather updates.
  2. Share attendance numbers with our funders to help secure more events like this in Goole.
Where can I park?

West Park has a car park, but spaces are limited. If possible, please walk to the park. The smaller car park will be closed on the day as it will be used for a performance.

Where in the park will this take place?

The event will take place on the field between the cafe and the bowling pavilion. Our team will be on hand to help direct you to the right spot!

What happens if it rains?

We’re as prepared as we can be for typical British summer weather! Performances may go ahead in light rain, but timings may be adjusted. We’ll do our best to keep the show running, but in the case of bad weather (rain or wind) we may have to cancel.

Is there food and drink?

Yes, food and drink will be available! Please support the park’s cafe and local traders by purchasing from them.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the performance to get settled and find a good spot.

How long does the event last?

The entire event lasts around two and a half hours. We recommend staying for the duration to enjoy all the performances, but you can pop in and just watch one or two!

What facilities does the park have?

West Park has a cafe and toilets. There is also a playground and Multi-Use Games Area. You could make a whole day of it!

Is the event accessible?

Yes, West Park is accessible for people with mobility needs. We’ll have team members available to assist if needed. There is a disabled toilet on site.

Are pets allowed?

While pets are welcome, we ask that they are kept on a lead and under control, especially during the performances.
