Thumbelina – Gilberdyke Memorial Hall

Meet Thumbelina, small in size but big in spirit, as she embarks on an extraordinary journey.

When her mother makes a wish, a little girl is born – no bigger than a thumb, but with a world of epic adventures ahead.

Wandering from her mother’s garden, Thumbelina encounters croaking frogs, a dazzling butterfly, mischevious bugs, and a kindly mole. But where does our tiny traveller truly belong? With courage and kindness, she sets out to find her place in the world.

This vibrant outdoor production brings the beloved fairytale to life with music, puppetry, and playful storytelling. Created for families, Thumbelina is an enchanting experience where the grass is the stage and imaginations take flight.

This performance will take place on the green area at the back of the memorial hall.

There is limited parking available for this space, so please arrive on foot where possible.

Dogs are welcome in this public space, but please do keep them on a short lead.
