Take Flight: Drama Playtime for Babies

Fri 15 May

Join Rebel Sparks for a calm, baby-led drama workshop for babies (0–2) and their grown-ups, led by a professional early years artist.

Their original early years aerial theatre show Take Flight for 0-2 year olds is touring to Junction Goole this May and they’re looking to spark connection with little ones and their adults in workshops exploring themes from the show.

Using music, movement and imaginative play, the session takes place entirely on the floor, with babies free to explore, move, rest or observe in their own way.

Grown-ups stay throughout and there is no expectation for babies to participate in any set way.

The workshop is split into 45 minutes guided and 15 minutes for free play, and:

  • Supports sensory exploration and early communication
  • Encourages movement and body awareness
  • Strengthens caregiver–baby connection
  • Offers something special and different to regular sessions
  • Led by an experienced, DBS checked Early Years Drama Practitioners

The timings available are designed so you can attend the workshop, have a 15 minute break, before the showtime. As such, we recommend:

The 11.15am workshop if you are attending the 12.30pm performance.
The 1.15pm workshop if you are attending the 2.30pm performance.
