Draw and paint your own Ancient Egyptian masterpiece.
The Ancient Egyptians worked on papyrus, which is a paper made from the stems of the papyrus plant: they drew and wrote books, legal documents and letters on the sheets. Early examples from the 2nd century BCE have survived due to Egypt’s dry climate, and can be seen in the British Museum.
In this two hour workshop, you will use sheets of papyrus with pencil, paint and pens to create your own art-inspired by the people and places of Ancient Egypt.
