Electric puts children and young people at the heart of its work. Young people have the opportunity to create characters and story ideas, work on their their own theatre pieces and play a range of games to develop their confidence and creativity. Many young people attending the group say that their confidence has increased since attending and they have made new friends. Above all, Electric Youth Theatre is a lot of fun! Past projects have included creating shadow theatre, stop-motion and pantomime pieces. Electric members also have the opportunity to perform at Junction and other partner venues!
In Spring 2016 term, Electric worked with KETTU Studios to write and animate their own short stories, with 27 young people achieving an Arts Award Discover qualification. You can see their films here!
